Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced On-Call Technician to join our team at Geeks on Site. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support and repair services to our residential and small business customers nationwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site technical support and repair services for computer systems, hardware, and software issues
  • Install and configure TV, surveillance, automation, and networked systems in residential and commercial spaces
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and network issues
  • Configure email accounts using Mail, Outlook, and Outlook Express
  • Imaging, hardware diagnostics, and configuration of PC systems
  • Experience with Mac is preferred, but not required
  • Installation and setup of smart home/IoT products
  • Assist with connecting and troubleshooting smart home products and hubs
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of professional experience providing Tech Support
  • PC imaging and configuration
  • Troubleshoot hardware and network issues
  • Aptitude for helping people use and understand technology
  • Ability to learn on the job
  • In-depth knowledge and usage of smart devices and their systems
  • Experience in smart device installation, hardware diagnostics, and configuration
  • Able to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift and carry items unassisted
  • Knowledge of general construction and electrical principles
What We Offer

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $35-$40 per hour for time on-site and parts purchased for customers. We will cover expenses for gas in excess of 20 miles (one-way) and other site-related expenses.

Please note that this is a 1099 independent contractor position, and you are responsible for tools, having your own vehicle, and valid driver's license, as well as vehicle maintenance.
