Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Clinical to join our team at the Allen 2 geriatric psych unit at Eastern State Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with colleagues, and promoting a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients, assessing their needs, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, and evaluating their progress.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Train and delegate tasks to Nursing Care Technicians (Nursing Assistants) to support efficient and safe patient care.
  • Contribute to a culture of excellence by adhering to University policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A BSN degree and at least one year of RN experience.
  • Excellent direct patient care and critical thinking skills.
  • Basic computer navigation skills and working knowledge of the internet.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, colleagues, and physicians.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and delegation skills.
