Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Charge Nurse to lead our team in 6B, a 23-bed med/surg/telemetry unit at Baptist Health. This role requires strong leadership and clinical expertise to oversee the efficient functioning of the department.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing supervision of workflow and staff for a designated shift. Key responsibilities include:
  • Assuring the provision of patient care by addressing performance, risk management, patient, family, and physician issues as appropriate.
  • Role modeling caring behaviors in relationships with others.
Key Performance Indicators:
  • Ensuring timely completion of tasks and assignments.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to staff members.
Requirements
Candidate Profile
To succeed in this role, you must possess a strong educational background and relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or currently actively pursuing a BSN degree.
  • A minimum of one year of Registered Nurse experience.
  • An active Kentucky RN license.
  • BLS, ACLS, and/or other designated unit-specific certification training/requirements.
Compensation Package
We offer a competitive compensation package, including an estimated salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide tuition assistance reimbursement, company-paid maternity and paternity leave, bereavement leave, PTO sell-back program, compassionate leave sharing program, and employee support fund.
