Job Summary:
The Allergy Technician/Medical Assistant will be responsible for interacting with patients, following allergy protocols, educating patients on allergy testing and treatments, and performing various administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional patient care and support
- Conduct allergy skin tests and injections
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean and organized environment
- Answer patient calls and respond to inquiries
- Take patient histories and update medical records
- Assist with authorizations and billing
- Perform sterilization techniques and maintain equipment
Requirements:
- Active LPN, RN, or Certified Medical Assistant licensure
- Minimum two years of hands-on clinical experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Computer literacy and proficiency in EMR systems
Physical Demands:
The position requires coordination, manual, and physical dexterity to use medical equipment and office equipment. The incumbent must be able to assist patients with transferring from a wheelchair to an exam chair and lift up to 25 pounds.
