Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger by reviewing transactions and coordinating resolutions for discrepancies.
  • Validate the balance sheet and address any unreconciled items.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
  • Prepare initial drafts of monthly financial reporting packages.
  • Develop work papers and schedules to assist in month-end financial reporting, annual audits, and compliance with federal and state reporting requirements.
  • Communicate costs, quality, schedules, and risks associated with engagement parameters.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a professional services environment or 3+ years in private industry.
  • Experience in rural healthcare accounting or finance is essential.
  • Knowledge of reimbursement processes for Critical Access Hospitals and Rural Health Clinics is required.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Understanding of cash, accrual, and full GAAP accounting principles.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical skills to examine data and propose solutions.

Compensation and Benefits:
The estimated salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $90,000, influenced by various factors such as location, skills, experience, and business needs. Eligible candidates may receive an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
