Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at the University of California, Riverside. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing medical, technical, and administrative support services to contribute to the efficient day-to-day operations of our clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Escort patients to exam rooms and take and record vital signs and medical histories.
  • Prepare patients for examination and assist in procedures as directed by physicians.
  • Provide administrative support to providers and interact with patients by scheduling appointments and managing in-basket and incoming faxes.
  • Collect patient information, update and maintain electronic records, and verify insurance and prior authorization for medication.
  • Ensure the clinic has the necessary inventory for operation and perform clerical tasks.

Work Environment: This position will be primarily assigned to a work location, but may also float as needed to various UCR Health clinic locations. The successful candidate will be required to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation: The full salary range for this position is $28.65 per hour. Salary offers are based on a variety of considerations, including education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Requirements: Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
