Job Summary

The YMCA of the North is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to serve as a Beacons School Success Lead. This part-time role will be responsible for developing and implementing enrichment programs for school-aged youth, providing mentorship and guidance, and building strong relationships with community members and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, and implement enrichment curriculum and program activities for youth
  • Provide work direction to program staff and volunteers
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for youth
  • Assist in promoting the program and recruiting youth participants
Requirements
  • Minimum age of 18
  • Experience and/or education in youth development, education, or a related field
  • Certifications in CPR, First Aid, and AED
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with diverse populations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 6 months experience working with school-aged youth
  • Supervisory or management experience
  • Multilingual
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed and youth development best practices
Work Environment

The Beacons School Success Lead will work in a school-based setting, interacting with youth, parents, staff, and community members. The position requires the ability to move throughout the school building, participate in youth activities, and work in a fast-paced environment.
