Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of Lead Child and Youth Program Assistant. This role will involve supervising children and youth, planning and coordinating activities, and ensuring compliance with Department of Defense and local installation standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise children and youth during daily activities, outings, and special events
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct activities based on individual needs
  • Prepare and implement program options for children and youth with special requirements
  • Instruct team members in specific tasks and job techniques
  • Ensure assigned area maintains standards for DoD certification and national accreditation
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
  • One of the following: Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, Military School Age Credential, Army Youth Practicum, or other nationally recognized Youth Development Credential
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience assisting with childcare or youth program national accreditation processes
  • Experience participating in multi-disciplinary or higher-level child/youth program inspections
  • Experience working with varying age groups (early childhood, school age, youth)
  • Experience leading or mentoring lower-level childcare/youth program staff
What We Offer

This is a Regular Full-Time position that is eligible for leave accrual and benefits. Must be available to work between the hours of 0600 and 1800, occasional evenings and Saturdays.
