Late Night Staff Position

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Late Night Staff member. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing a positive and engaging environment for teens to participate in various activities and events after hours.
Key Responsibilities:- Program Planning and Implementation: Assist in planning, leading, and implementing a variety of teen-focused activities, including open gym, workout equipment, basketball, swimming, and other events.
- Supervision and Safety: Provide safety and supervision for all Late Night participants, ensuring a secure and enjoyable experience for everyone.
- Program Quality and Evaluation: Implement and ensure program quality through best practices and ongoing evaluation, including surveys, focus groups, and youth voice.
- Role Modeling and Guidance: Serve as a positive role model and provide guidance to youth participants, promoting YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
- Age and Education: Minimum 21 years of age, high school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Experience and Skills: Six months or more of related experience preferred, with knowledge and skills in program activities, sports, and office equipment.
- Certifications and Training: CPR, First Aid, AED certifications preferred, with a willingness to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training and other required training.
- Competitive Hourly Rate: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.
- Flexible Scheduling: Seasonal weekdays, 4:00 to 10:00pm, up to 30 hours a week.
- Opportunities for Advancement: Ability to apply as an internal candidate to a year-round, Full or Part-Time position.
