Job Title: General Manager - Licensed Cosmetologist

Madison Reed Hair Color Bar is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager - Licensed Cosmetologist to lead our team and drive business growth.

Job Summary:

The General Manager - Licensed Cosmetologist will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our Hair Color Bar, including staff management, customer service, and sales. This is a full-time position that requires availability on weekends, holidays, and other peak times based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead by example and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills to provide a top-tier employee and guest experience.
  • Ensure all aspects of the business are staffed and resourced, including front-of-house operations, adhering to company standard operating procedures, and managing bookings, services, and memberships.
  • Achieve monthly sales goals and other key performance indicators, including retail sales, services, and memberships.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase sales.
  • Manage employee schedules, budgets, and performance, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the District Manager to achieve business objectives and implement company-wide initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Active cosmetology license in the state of employment.
  • 2+ years of salon and retail experience, with a proven track record of exceeding key operational and performance metrics.
  • 2+ years of operational management experience, with a strong level of technical proficiency as a colorist.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and driving business results.
