Your Responsibilities:
  • Guide, train, and assist plant electricians, line mechanics, and plant management by providing insights on efficiently diagnosing and resolving issues with can-making machinery to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
  • Innovate and troubleshoot new products, production machinery, and manufacturing processes.
  • Support facilities and original equipment manufacturers in identifying and resolving mechanical production challenges to enhance line efficiency, boost product quality, increase production capacity, and reduce repetitive work-related injuries.
  • Collaborate with Plant Management, Project Engineering, Equipment Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to achieve objectives.
  • Regular travel to various production sites and equipment suppliers as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Minimum of 5 years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • At least 2 years of experience with PLC-based control systems, specifically programming Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs, HMIs, and Servo & Inverter drives.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical controls, servos, inverter drives, and PLC systems, particularly Allen-Bradley.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with electrical software such as RS Logix, Studio 5000, or FTV Studio is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, with frequent overnight stays.
