We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Silgan, a leading global packaging company. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Mentor and train plant electricians and mechanics to quickly diagnose and resolve issues with canmaking equipment, ensuring high product quality and efficient production.
- Direct the development and debugging of new products, production equipment, and manufacturing lines, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Work with plants and OEM suppliers and vendors to identify and resolve mechanical production problems, improving efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Travel regularly to production facilities and equipment vendors as needed, providing technical expertise and support.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 5 or more years of electrical experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong background in PLC controls, HMIs, Servo, and Inverter drives.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and debugging electrical controls, servos, inverter drives, and PLC platforms.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and AutoCAD, with experience in RS Logix, Studio 5000, or FTV Studio a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the year, with overnight stays required.
