Your Responsibilities:
- Guide, educate, and support plant electricians, line mechanics, and plant leadership in effectively diagnosing and resolving issues with can-making machinery to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
- Innovate and troubleshoot new products, production machinery, and manufacturing processes.
- Assist production facilities and OEM suppliers in identifying and resolving mechanical production challenges to enhance line efficiency, improve product quality, increase production capacity, and reduce work-related injuries.
- Collaborate with Plant Management, Project Engineering, Equipment Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to achieve objectives.
- Travel regularly to various production sites and equipment suppliers as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Over 5 years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
- At least 2 years of experience with PLC-based control systems, specifically programming Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs, HMIs, and servo/inverter drives.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and debugging electrical control systems, servos, inverter drives, and PLC platforms, particularly Allen-Bradley.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with electrical software such as RS Logix, Studio 5000, or FTV Studio is preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight stays.
