About the Role

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at the Medical Disability Examinations facility in Medford, OR. As a member of our team, you will conduct one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams for veterans. This is a salaried position, paid bi-weekly, with a competitive financial package including health, dental, vision, and life coverage.

Job Responsibilities
  • Review pertinent medical history documentation and provide veterans with one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams.
  • Capture responses during the exam through web-based examination form(s); all documentation will be completed electronically.

The exams include musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory standard exams, as well as ancillaries such as X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, and ABIs, which may be ordered and conducted on location or nearby.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license for the duration of employment.
  • Physician Assistants must hold an active NCCPA certification and remain certified during employment.
  • Have a master's degree or successfully completed an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

You will work independently and as part of a team, using your good interpersonal skills and willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations. Prior VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required.
