Medical Examiner for Veterans

We are seeking a skilled Medical Examiner to conduct medical assessments on U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
About the RoleThis is a part-time, in-person position that involves documenting exam findings without making disability determinations or prescribing medication. The ideal candidate will have a current unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license and proficiency in data analysis and time management.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct focused physical exams and review medical records electronically through a web portal
- Electronically document exam findings required by the VA through the web portal
- Analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete the questionnaire and form medical opinions
The successful candidate must hold a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license and be proficient in using a computer. This role performs Disability Assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day, on average.
BenefitsThis position offers a competitive salary, with an estimated range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and location. Benefits include training and continued support provided, health insurance options available, and a computer supplied.
