Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the scheduling for nursing staff.
  • Maintain daily staffing records.
  • Engage with employees to fulfill daily staffing needs.
  • Ensure coverage for vacant shifts, open roles, and planned absences as directed by the Director of Nursing.
  • Prepare and submit daily nursing hours reports to the Executive Director/LNHA.
  • Calculate daily nursing hours to meet PPD requirements and keep a log of daily and monthly PPD.
  • Communicate daily with admissions regarding patient census and admission/discharge updates.
  • Review daily punch detail reports for each employee, verify hours worked, correct discrepancies, and identify trends.
  • Contribute to innovative and responsible healthcare by developing and implementing new ideas and processes that enhance operational efficiency and achieve outstanding results.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's Degree is preferred but not mandatory. At least one year of experience in a similar role within long-term care or medical settings is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will be qualified, compassionate, and committed to excellence.
  • Prior experience in healthcare is essential.
