Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the schedule for nursing staff.
- Prepare daily staffing reports.
- Engage with employees to fulfill daily staffing needs.
- Ensure coverage for vacant shifts, open roles, and planned absences as directed by the Director of Nursing.
- Compile and submit daily nursing hours reports to the Executive Director/LNHA.
- Monitor nursing hours daily to comply with PPD requirements and maintain a log of daily and monthly PPD data.
- Communicate with admissions daily regarding patient census and admission/discharge updates.
- Review daily employee punch detail reports, verify hours worked, correct discrepancies, and identify trends.
- Contribute to innovative healthcare solutions by developing and implementing new ideas and processes that enhance operational efficiency and outcomes.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's Degree is preferred but not mandatory. At least one year of experience in a similar role within long-term care or healthcare settings is preferred.
- Must demonstrate compassion, dedication, and a strong work ethic.
- Prior experience in a healthcare environment is essential.
