Job Overview:
The Virginia Department of Human Resource Management is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Worker to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all individuals within our facilities. This role is essential in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough floor care, including sweeping, mopping, stripping, finishing, and buffing.
  • Maintain cleanliness in bathrooms and shower areas, ensuring all fixtures are sanitized.
  • Clean and disinfect walls, floors, ceilings, and all restroom fixtures.
  • Ensure bed areas are kept clean and organized.
  • Maintain cleanliness in dayrooms, offices, visitor areas, hallways, and other public spaces.
  • Manage outdoor cleanliness, including trash collection and disposal.
  • Regularly empty trash receptacles and clean windows and doors.

Shift Details:
This position requires availability for the 1st shift, which operates from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and equipment operation.

- Valid Operator's License.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
