Accounts Receivable Manager

Hirschbach Motor Lines is seeking a highly skilled Manager - Accounts Receivable to oversee and optimize the accounts receivable function within the organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of account receivable and account coordinator professionals, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, and monitoring collections to maintain healthy cash flow.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Accounts Receivable Team: Lead a team of account receivable and account coordinator professionals to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and collections.
- Optimize Receivables Process: Analyze and improve the accounts receivable process to reduce days sales outstanding and improve cash flow.
- Ensure Accurate Invoicing: Verify that all loads are billed daily and that comments are recorded for any loads that cannot be billed.
- Manage Contracts and Rate Agreements: Confirm that contracts and rate agreements are in place for all managed by the company.
- Verify Customer Contracts: Ensure that all contracts for regular customers are up-to-date, including rates, accessorial charges, detention fees, and fuel charges.
- Achieve Departmental Goals: Achieve departmental goals for billing accuracy, unbilled orders, and adjustments.
- Manage Collections: Handle collections for accounts receivable, including resolving shortages and overpayments.
- Onboard New Customers: Assist with onboarding and billing of new customers until they are transferred to the Billing Coordinator.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
- Experience: Experience in setting and achieving departmental goals and standards, and developing actionable plans.
- Communication Skills: Proficiency in both written and verbal communication.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
