We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Telemetry Associate at the Detroit Medical Center. This is a full-time position that involves working 12-hour night shifts, with a 36-hour workweek.

About the Position

As a Telemetry Associate, you will be responsible for monitoring patient ECG rhythms and maintaining equipment. You will initiate tracing if there are any changes in a patient's rhythm and immediately alert nursing personnel.

You will maintain and monitor rate limits and recognize whether irregularities are due to changes in a patient's rhythm or machine malfunction.

In this role, you will work under direct supervision and according to established policies and procedures. You will perform various clerical and receptionist duties for assigned patient care services or nursing units.

As a key member of the team, you will operate an online computer terminal to transcribe orders and enter/retrieve/correct patient information.

This role requires a high school graduate or equivalent, with previous hospital experience preferred. A minimum of six months of job experience where substantial computer usage is significant part of the job, or three credit hours of computer classes, is required.

  1. High school graduate or equivalent
  2. Prior hospital experience (preferred)
  3. Strong computer skills
  4. Able to complete basic cardiac arrhythmia monitoring training
Estimated Salary

$63,000 - $83,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
