Key Responsibilities:

- Complete financial assessments and eligibility checks.
- Obtain necessary prior authorizations for services rendered.
- Collaborate closely with departmental staff to guarantee precise financial data.
- Maintain ongoing communication regarding updates and requirements.
- Assign consumers to the appropriate clinicians based on their insurance coverage.
- Provide support within the department as needed.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits comprehensively.
- Accurately populate all relevant fields in the system.
- Manage preadmission processes according to received petitions.
- Track and confirm current Medicaid and Medicare coverage.
- Seek supervision and consultation when necessary.
- Embrace suggestions for improvement and professional development.
- Ensure respectful treatment of consumers, maintaining their dignity and confidentiality.
- Foster a pleasant and cooperative work environment.
- Complete tasks efficiently and in alignment with AltaPointe policies.
- Respond promptly to inquiries related to accounting.
- Uphold the highest standards of ethical accounting practices.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's degree is preferred.
Must be computer literate, detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines are essential.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
Experience in verifying and accessing insurance eligibility, authorization, and billing is preferred.
Knowledge of medical insurance policies is strongly preferred.
