Job Summary

The Sous Chef position is a central leadership role that requires an experienced culinarian with a passion for great food and exceptional guest experiences. You will be responsible for coaching and motivating team members, identifying opportunities for improvement, and driving culinary excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively coach and motivate team members to deliver exceptional results
  • Identify opportunities and drive improvement in location operations, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality food delivery
  • Monitor quality and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Deliver against financial goals and budgets, optimizing resources and minimizing waste
  • Set the standard for culinary excellence, driving innovation and creativity in menu development and presentation
  • Oversee equipment maintenance routines, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime
  • Communicate and monitor par levels, ensuring accurate inventory management and minimizing stockouts
  • Support menu development and monitoring, staying up-to-date on culinary trends and best practices
  • Ensure all routine kitchen management procedures are adhered to, maintaining a high level of efficiency and productivity
  • Perform daily line checks to verify quality and flavor standards, ensuring consistency and excellence
  • Lead game day culinary operations, delivering exceptional experiences for our clients and their guests
  • Manage end-of-month inventory and food waste, minimizing losses and optimizing resources
  • Deliver training and coaching to team members, developing their skills and knowledge to drive success
  • Manage employee breaks and well-being, prioritizing their health and safety
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings and corrective action, ensuring a positive and productive work environment
  • Complete onboarding and orientation for new team members, ensuring a smooth transition and successful integration
  • Ensure all elements of food ordering, delivery, prep, transportation, and service are conducted to a high standard, maintaining exceptional quality and consistency
  • Support other Levy locations and maintenance of recipes, driving consistency and excellence across our operations
  • Manage culinary department budget, optimizing resources and minimizing waste
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a culinary leadership position, with a proven track record of success
  • Culinary degree preferred, with a strong foundation in culinary arts and sciences
  • High level of computer literacy, with proficiency in relevant software and systems
  • Understanding of financial concepts, with experience in budgeting and cost control
  • Passion for hospitality, food, and retail, with a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and drive results
