Brown Dining Services is eager to enhance our workforce with committed Culinary Service Associates. This role is part of a union and begins at a competitive rate of $18.91 per hour. Overtime compensation is available for any hours exceeding 8 in a single day. Enjoy the advantage of up to 14 paid holidays annually, with additional overtime pay for holiday work.

The Culinary Service Associate is responsible for a range of duties related to food preparation, service, support, supply management, and sanitation within a dining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver friendly and efficient service while presenting food to customers.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding food items and ingredients.
  • Ensure food is maintained at proper temperatures.
  • Perform food production tasks such as sandwich making, grilling, slicing, and beverage preparation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized service area.
  • Restock food and supplies as needed.
  • Assist with the preparation and service of special events and buffets.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, including tables, chairs, pots, pans, utensils, and equipment.
  • Manage waste disposal in designated containers.
  • Transport soiled items to the dishwashing area.
  • Sort and prepare soiled trays for washing.
  • Operate and maintain dishwashing and food service equipment.
  • Set up rooms for events and rearrange furniture as required.
  • Assist in unloading deliveries and storing food items appropriately.
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned, including cashier duties.
