Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Support Specialist to join our team at Scotch Plains-Fanwood Public Schools. As an Office Support Specialist, you will provide administrative support to our staff and ensure the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to staff members, including answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining records.
  • Assist with data entry, filing, and other clerical tasks.
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases to track information.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, parents, and staff.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and workflow.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Working Conditions: This is a 12-month position, and the successful candidate will be required to work a standard school day schedule. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
