Aerospace Manufacturing Technician

Job Summary:
RBC Bearings is seeking a skilled Robotics & Automation Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Robotics & Automation Engineering team, you will be responsible for repairing, calibrating, and maintaining our automated and robotic systems on the manufacturing shop floor.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform diagnostic troubleshooting activities on assembly automation equipment
• Make mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic repairs to assembly automation equipment
• Perform equipment failure analysis, repairs, and scheduled preventative maintenance on robotic and automated equipment
• Set up manual and semi-automatic assembly lines and assist in operating pre-production runs
• Assist in installing new automated equipment and in moving equipment to new locations
• Create new robot programs and edit existing robot programs
• Work with Maintenance and Process Technicians to maintain daily production operations and assembly through preventative and corrective maintenance
• Monitor system performance and availability of both personnel and automated robotic vehicles
• Support continuous operation by adjusting, calibrating, repairing, replacing, or modifying system components
• Troubleshoot automated robotic anomalies and stoppages using schematic and wiring diagrams as well as advanced test equipment
Requirements:
• Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent discipline preferred
• Three (3) years + work experience in electro-mechanical automated/robotic equipment in a manufacturing environment required with build, repair, test, install, and maintenance experience highly preferred
• Ability to read and understand assembly drawings and schematics
• Ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally
• Strong organizational skills to ensure overall systems are operating efficiently
• Ability to learn new equipment and assist team members as needed
• Ability to multi-task and perform multiple job functions at once
• Must be able to operate and run Automated systems
• Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) knowledge and troubleshooting
Additional Information:
This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident, or have refugee or asylee status.
Salary Range:
$24/hour - $26/hour
