As a Senior Avionics Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leading the manufacturing process for our cutting-edge vehicles. Key Responsibilities

Lead improvement projects to achieve and maintain safety, reliability, and process capability goals
Collaborate with the engineering and technician teams to drive design and manufacturing excellence
Provide input into the design and development of new and existing hardware, and lead the manufacturing and integration of our current and next-generation vehicles
Drive root-cause analysis and corrective action recommendations/implementation
Apply process improvement methodologies and tools to reduce manufacturing build hours and quality issues, increase production rates, and remove waste from complex processes
Manage projects and execute to tight timelines while effectively communicating with and influencing stakeholders
Train technicians, engineers, and leaders on best-in-class operations practices
Work with design engineers to evaluate designs for manufacturability and test requirements, and implement solutions in a rapidly evolving production environment
Ideate and implement tooling and test solutions to enable high-quality hardware
Be responsible for the manufacturability and introduction into the rate manufacturing environment of assigned products
Contribute to design reviews as an expert in design for manufacturability, design for testability, yield improvements, supplier capabilities assessments, quality control, etc
Be the primary point of contact for the production of non-conforming products, troubleshooting, root cause, failure investigations, and corrective actions
Work on process and tooling development/validation for new products
Drive the optimization of assembly and test procedures
Prepare engineering documentation necessary for the transition from development to production

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Avionics Manufacturing Engineer who can lead our manufacturing team to success. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or a technical discipline, and at least 5 years of experience in design and production of electronics hardware systems. The candidate should have experience with electro-mechanical assembly and subassemblies, end-to-end printed circuit board fabrication, high power electronics, and motor drivers. Additionally, the candidate should have demonstrated professional experience providing engineering and manufacturing support for the production of highly complex electronic products, and experience transitioning products from design to manufacturing as part of a cross-functional team. The candidate should also have hands-on experience with passion for continuous improvement and building the best hardware, and experience implementing design for manufacturing and design for test feedback. Strong communication skills and ability to read and provide feedback on technical documents are also essential. The candidate should be able to work overtime and weekends as needed, and be capable of solving complex problems with little to no supervision on schedule as an individual or as a member of an integrated team. Experience in a startup development environment, working in a flight, aviation, aerospace development program, and transitioning parts from first article to production are desired multipliers.
