Job Description

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Inspector position is responsible for ensuring that incoming and outgoing products meet all quality standards and specifications. This role involves thoroughly inspecting and analyzing measurements, material & finish requirements, and verifying product conformance throughout various production process stages.

Key Responsibilities:

· Inspect both incoming and outgoing products to ensure compliance with customer prints, military specifications, industry standards, and commercial requirements.

· Conduct inspections to review internal purchase and sales orders to ensure specified requirements have been properly addressed and adhered to.

· Coordinate quality inspections with management and department leads.

· Inspectors are also responsible for contacting suppliers in the event of a rejection to arrange for replacement material and/or to resolve documentation issues.

· Ability to review material & finish certs, and test reports to ensure compliance with specified requirements.

· Perform and help train staff on inspection techniques and instructions.

Requirements:

· Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and drawings or willingness to learn.

· Organized and pays close attention to detail.

· Ability to read military specifications, industry standards, or commercial specs as required to determine product requirements or willingness to learn.

· Use standard inspection equipment (i.e., calipers, micrometers, thread plugs, thread rings, precision pins, etc.).

· Computer proficient.

· Able to lift 50 pounds.

Education, Experience, Licenses and Certifications:

· High School Diploma

· Minimum of two years' experience with quality inspection in a distribution environment
