Position Overview:
At Joby Aviation, we are at the forefront of transforming air travel with our cutting-edge all-electric air taxi system. We are looking for an experienced engineer to spearhead the design, integration, and operational success of our aircraft systems, collaborating closely with various departments and regulatory authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee system requirements and ensure adherence to industry regulations.
- Facilitate integration efforts across diverse teams and certification organizations.
- Lead design evaluations, trade studies, and testing initiatives.
- Produce comprehensive system safety analyses and necessary documentation.
- Engage in collaborative system design projects, testing, and certification processes.
- Guarantee that designs fulfill all specifications at both system and aircraft levels.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in OEM integration.
- Expertise in technical schematics, diagrams, and engineering specifications.
- Familiarity with aircraft systems and relevant analytical processes.
- Strong analytical and communication capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace).
- Must be based in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of avionics and familiarity with DO-178C and DO-254 standards.
- Experience managing intricate requirements and FAA certification processes.
- 8+ years of industry experience with a background in consensus standards.
- Possession of a private pilot certificate is advantageous.
Compensation Package:
Base salary ranges from $135,100 to $225,200 annually, complemented by Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Compensation is determined by location, skills, and experience.
