Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and lead a team to execute integration and verification plans, ensuring functionality and performance of prototype systems.
  • Take on prototype ownership, including planning, staffing, and qualification to support program plans.
  • Work with stakeholders from different departments to ensure alignment on system integration plans.
  • Resolve design flaws, including hardware and software interface/communication mismatches.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with system integration.
  • Resolve integration priority conflicts between projects.
  • Capture and drive the resolution of integration issues.
  • Report progress on all activities related to system integration and testing.
  • Identify integration process bottlenecks and drive improvements.
  • Assure documentation of assembly and test procedures.
  • Assure quality of software testing and validation methods and techniques.
  • Travel to customer sites as required to support product introduction or local site support.
  • Maintain a safe work environment through review of proposed work, testing, and containment actions.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of science or engineering, with advanced degrees preferred.
  • 6-8 years of applicable industry experience, with 2-3 years experience in leadership roles.
  • Coaching, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with 3D CAD and 2D Drawings (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)).
  • Experience working in the integration of electrical and mechanical components, systems, and assemblies.
  • Experience working with laser systems and laser safety is highly desired.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and resourceful.
  • Excellent communication skills in verbal, written, and electronic formats.
  • Strong customer focus and commitment to satisfaction.
  • Ability to work in a clean room environment with safety gear.
  • Strong planning skills and ability to set priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
