Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented ER Registration Representative to join our team at Johnson Memorial Health. As a key member of our patient access team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth registration process for patients in our Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register patients into the hospital computer system, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of financial and demographic information.
  • Verify and update patient information, including insurance cards and consent forms.
  • Obtain pre-certification, referrals, and prior authorizations for hospital admissions and services.
  • Coordinate with Case Management and Patient Access Specialists to ensure accurate execution of third-party benefit program activities.
  • Collect co-pays and deductibles for ED services and perform cashier duties as needed.
  • Assist with coverage of the Hospital Switchboard and respond to codes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma or equivalent and previous experience in a hospital admitting department or medical setting. Previous CRT experience is preferred.
