About the Role

Upbring is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Director to lead our Head Start program. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of our program goals and objectives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.


Key Responsibilities

The Regional Director will be responsible for:


  • Providing leadership and guidance to Center Directors, Education Coordinators, Family Services Coordinators, and Area Administrative Assistants
  • Collaborating with Program Director, Director of Partnerships, Superintendent, Family Services, Health and Disabilities Assistant Superintendent, and Operations Assistant Superintendent to develop operational procedures and implement strategic initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with agency policies, municipal ordinances, federal standards, Minimum Standards for Child-Care Centers, Head Start Performance Standards, and Child and Adult Care Food Program
  • Maintaining a child-care license compliance file for all centers
  • Overseeing the issuance of agency supplies to personnel and maintaining an inventory of equipment, laptops, and cell phones
  • Ensuring the health and safety of each child in care and supporting the overall well-being of children
  • Monitoring and ensuring the status of food handler permits, fire permits, and Board of Health requirements
  • Reviewing and approving Coaching and Counseling and Performance Improvement Plans
  • Approving time, absences, and mileage for direct staff
  • Monitoring funded enrollment levels in accordance with enrollment requirements
  • Monitoring and analyzing family services, health, and disabilities data

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • At least 3 years' experience in a supervisory role, preferably in an early childhood setting
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Experience with program management, including operational and financial management, evaluation and assessment, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written or verbal format to groups of all sizes and individuals
  • Current Texas Driver's License and auto insurance in good standing
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and other related programs

Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:


  • A Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Bilingual education expertise
  • Background in Special Education/Inclusion
  • Prior Head Start/Early Head Start experience
  • Experience with Head Start-approved curriculums, monitoring, and assessment tools
  • Reliable in CLASS

Work Environment

This position requires sitting and looking and using a computer for long periods of time. Up to 75% travel will be required to fulfill the duties of the position. Position may work in a child facility and have limited exposure to children. Lift, push, pull, move up to 50 lbs.
