Job Summary

The Prenatal-to-3 Policy Impact Center at Vanderbilt University seeks a highly skilled Communications Director to lead the development and implementation of strategic marketing and communication plans. This role will be responsible for building and maintaining a strong network of external audiences, amplifying the Center's impact in the field, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to achieve organizational goals
Lead a team of communication specialists and provide guidance on marketing and communication initiatives
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and maintain strategic short- and long-term organizational goals
Develop and manage content calendars to ensure timely and effective communication
Oversee the development of marketing materials, including press releases, press kits, and newsletters
Manage external email contact lists and lead email campaigns to maximize attendance and contact list growth
Ensure all external pieces are consistent in voice and branding/visual style

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of eight years of related experience
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful communications strategies
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong project management and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment
