Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled, dedicated, and motivated Field Construction Manager to join our dynamic team. This individual MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN BUILDING STORAGE FACILITIES OR GROUND-UP MULTI-STORY COMMERCIAL PROJECTS. In this role, you will oversee all phases of commercial construction projects from start to finish. A background in self-storage and experience in constructing single and multi-story storage units is essential. This position offers an exciting opportunity for those who enjoy traveling and have a strong interest in multi-story commercial construction, particularly in the self-storage sector. You will manage various commercial projects across multiple locations, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are upheld at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of the construction process, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction personnel and subcontractors at various stages of the project.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement project schedules, manage daily operations, and coordinate the work of all parties involved in the project.
  • Address on-site issues and emergencies promptly, making necessary adjustments to ensure project continuity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Prepare and submit regular project reports, keeping management informed about project status and any issues that may arise.
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards, promoting a safe work environment for all personnel.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Field Manager with a self-storage background.
  • Proficient in ground-up, commercial, multi-story construction projects.
  • Extensive experience in traveling roles, demonstrating the ability to manage projects in various locations.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Willingness to travel extensively as per project requirements.
  • A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
