Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Control Systems Technician to join our team. This position will report to the Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor and is vital for maintaining our operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to process control and instrumentation systems.
  • Document modifications, new systems, and corrective measures taken.
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on various equipment and systems.
  • Engage with vendors regarding instruments and control devices.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficient understanding of PLCs and familiarity with instrument communication protocols, DCS, pneumatics, and basic hydraulics.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, P&ID loop diagrams, and relevant technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Capable of managing multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
Experience Requirements
  • Preferred experience in low voltage electrical work, industrial instrumentation process control, and electrical safety practices.
Educational Background
  • A 2-year degree in instrumentation along with 3 to 6 years of relevant experience.
