ED Technician Job Description

At Jefferson Healthcare, we are seeking a skilled ED Technician to join our Emergency Department team. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in assisting with patient care and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with patient triage, care, and treatment under the guidance of an RN or physician.
  • Provide support to patients and their families, serving as a link between the healthcare team and patients.
  • Anticipate patient and team member needs, performing duties within the scope of your practice.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • AHA BLS/CPR certification required.
  • WA State Nursing Assistant Registered (NA-R), Nursing Assistant Certified (NA-C), Medical Assistant Certified (MA-C), Medical Assistant Registered (MA-R), or EMT required.
  • Washington State Medical Assistant-Phlebotomy certification required; application for certification must be submitted within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ED or urgent care experience.
  • Recent emergency department, urgent care, EMT, EMT-B, or related medical experience providing direct patient care.

Schedule:

Per Diem; 0-16 hours/week; Variable Shift; 12 hour shifts.
