Job Summary

The Lower Eastside Service Center is seeking a highly skilled Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our inter-disciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive substance use disorder services to individuals with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct initial substance use screenings and comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop service plans.
Provide individual and group counseling to help clients achieve their goals and make informed decisions about their substance use.
Collaborate with the inter-disciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans that address the client's physical, emotional, and social needs.
Develop and maintain linkages with community-based substance use programs and support services to ensure seamless referrals and follow-up support.
Provide training and consultation to treatment program staff on substance use disorder principles and practices.

Requirements

CASAC or a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
Minimum of three years of experience providing dual diagnosis services.
Strong knowledge of homeless and housing services/resources.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software.
