We are seeking a highly skilled Addiction Counselor to join our team at NYC Health Hospitals. As a key member of our Behavioral Health team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial screenings and assessments of patients to identify their needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Facilitate individual, group, and family counseling sessions to promote recovery and self-sufficiency.
- Develop and implement clinically sound treatment programs, case management, and care coordination services for patients in Substance Use Disorder treatment programs.
- Ensure optimal utilization of resources and services, and compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
- Valid CASAC - Level 1 Certificate issued by OASAS.
- One year of full-time, progressively responsible experience performing SUD assessment, treatment planning, individual and group counseling, case and care management, and other functions related to SUD prevention and treatment in a SUD treatment program.
