Position Overview:
The Room Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring that guest accommodations are clean, welcoming, and well-maintained, while delivering attentive and courteous service to all visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms in accordance with established standards.
- Complete all pre-cleaning tasks, including preparing guest supplies, cleaning materials, and linens for the housekeeping cart.
- Remove all waste and soiled linens from guest rooms and corridors.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in hallways, public spaces, and storage areas.
- Restock housekeeping carts for the following day's operations.
- Replenish cleaning chemical supplies as needed.
- Report any missing items from guest rooms to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
- Immediately notify the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager of any maintenance issues.
- Handle lost and found items according to established procedures.
- Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction at all times.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred, along with experience in a hotel or related field.
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Capability to stand for the duration of the shift.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner with all levels of staff and guests.
