Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Operating Room Assistant to join our team. As an Operating Room Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the surgical team and ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support services to the surgical team
- Assist with the delivery of patient care by functioning as a member of the surgical team
- Transport patients and run errands as needed
- Relay messages and assist with patient care and room turnover
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Experience functioning calmly in a pressure situation and working with little supervision
- Preferred: 6 months patient care experience, operating room experience
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required
This role requires the ability to exert in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The incumbent works in a patient care area; works in an area where patients enter; works directly with patients; and/or works with specimens that could contain communicable diseases.
