We are seeking an experienced Intake and Hotline Counselor to join our team at Women Against Abuse. As a key member of our DV Services team, you will provide critical support to victims of domestic violence and their children.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in advocacy, hotline, and crisis intervention, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations. A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required, along with a strong commitment to serving others.

In this role, you will be responsible for answering the hotline, providing information and referrals, options counseling, and support to victims of domestic violence. You will also conduct intake to Women Against Abuse Safe Havens and assist OSH intake staff in assessing the needs of persons presenting for service.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer the hotline and provide information and referrals to victims of domestic violence
  • Conduct intake to Women Against Abuse Safe Havens and assist OSH intake staff
  • Assess the needs of persons presenting for service and arrange for direct access to the DV shelter or other safe options
  • Provide options counseling and support to victims of domestic violence

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least one year of experience in advocacy, hotline, crisis, or related experience
  • Experience working with victims of domestic violence preferred
  • Bilingual strongly preferred
