Senior Management Assistant
The Senior Management Assistant is a key position within the Animal Care Services department, providing critical administrative support to facilitate efficient operations. The role involves collaborating with various teams to develop and coordinate operational and capital budget support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates the planning, organization, and direction of the Animal Care Services annual budget using historical trends, customer engagements, and revenue projections.
  • Develops the ACS operational budget by applying policies, procedures, practices, standards, and applicable regulations to ensure seamless execution.
  • Performs comprehensive budget analysis, estimating costs, and formulating resource plans to optimize program delivery.
  • Executes authorized and approved budgets, monitoring variances, and revising budgets to reflect potential expense changes in real-time.
  • Establishes and maintains chain of custody accountability procedures for capital items, electronic/technology items, computer peripherals, and disposal of excess items, ensuring compliance with city regulations.
  • Fosters effective collaboration with purchasing and capital programs to award new contracts or exercise options on existing contracts.
  • Validates invoices for payments, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Cordinates miscellaneous services, including scanning, records management, information storage, telecommunications management, presentation development, and performance metrics displays.

Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:
  • Exempt - Full-Time
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is a schedule requirement, reflecting the department's commitment to 24/7 operations.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree and three years of experience in a similar capacity. A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.

Estimated Salary Range:
$60,000 - $80,000 per annum, offering a competitive compensation package.
