Position Summary

The Lead Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the finance and operations team throughout the proposal process. Key responsibilities include sourcing and analyzing proposal materials, enhancing processes, conducting pricing and pro forma reviews for new business, and creating analytics related to contracts. This position also involves entering new business budgets and facilitating the transition between sales and operations finance during the contract process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop pricing models for new business during RFPs.
  • Generate project status and tracking reports for pricing initiatives.
  • Review Pro Forma and IRR proposals for capital requests.
  • Analyze financial results and identify key performance issues.
  • Create financial models and conduct financial statement analysis to support strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in developing operational budgets for new business units.
  • Analyze complex financial reporting on capital expenditures and project budgets.
  • Review contract drafts prior to submission and implement processes for tracking key financial metrics.
Qualifications:
  • Quick learner with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills using dynamic financial models.
  • Proficient in analyzing and interpreting complex data.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in data systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and professional business acumen.
  • Able to build relationships and collaborate cross-functionally with business partners.
Experience and Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, or Accounting is preferred. An MBA or advanced degree is favorable. A minimum of 3 years of finance experience, with at least 2 years in a similar role, is preferred.

Travel Requirement:

5% travel for unit visits and finance reviews.
