About the Role

AECOM is seeking a skilled Hydraulics and Drainage Engineer to join our Surface Transportation Department in Michigan. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing hydraulic analysis and drainage design for various projects, including urban and rural roadways, interstate highways, interchanges, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform hydraulics and drainage engineering calculations with supervision
  • Conduct specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer
  • Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures
  • Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests
  • Propose approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments
  • Identify discrepancies in results
  • Provide guidance to entry-level engineers
  • Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision
  • Independently perform all tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works
Requirements
  • BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • PE License in Michigan (preferred)
  • 4 years of hydraulic engineering experience
  • Roadway projects experience
  • HEC-RAS, Bentley ORD experience (preferred)
