Hydraulics and Drainage Engineer

AECOM is seeking a skilled Hydraulics and Drainage Engineer to join our Surface Transportation Department in Michigan. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing hydraulic analysis and drainage design for various projects, including urban and rural roadways, interstate highways, interchanges, and detention/retention ponds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform hydraulics and drainage engineering calculations with supervision
- Conduct specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer
- Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures
- Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests
- Propose approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments
- Identify discrepancies in results
- Provide guidance to entry-level engineers
- Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision
- Independently perform all tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works
Qualifications:
- BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- PE License in Michigan (preferred)
- 4 years of hydraulic engineering experience
- Roadway projects experience
- HEC-RAS, Bentley ORD experience (preferred)
