Position Summary: The User Access Management Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing user access rights to uphold security and compliance within the organization's IT framework. This position entails the administration of user accounts, permissions, and access controls to safeguard sensitive data and systems from unauthorized access.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Access Control Audits: Conduct user access reviews, infrastructure access assessments, and shared drive access evaluations, ensuring timely completion by managers.
  • User Provisioning and Deprovisioning: Process requests for the creation and removal of user accounts across systems and applications. Address access issues escalated from the Service Desk and collaborate with Security and HR for urgent terminations.
  • Collaboration and Support: Partner with IT, HR, and other departments to facilitate prompt user access management. Provide technical assistance and guidance to users regarding access-related inquiries. Support user training on access requests, onboarding, and deprovisioning procedures.
  • Technical Proficiency: Utilize Microsoft Identity Management (MIM) tools to resolve issues based on established knowledge articles during the onboarding process when accounts are created, modified, or disabled.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Address incoming queries and requests from end users through various communication channels.
  • Assist users in troubleshooting hardware or software issues.
  • Evaluate user inquiries, diagnose problems with IT equipment and applications, and provide solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or a minimum of 3 years of experience in user access management or a similar role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of access control frameworks and compliance standards.
  • Proficient in utilizing access management tools and technologies.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+) are advantageous.

  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring precision in managing user access and identifying potential security vulnerabilities.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of IT systems, access management tools, and security protocols.

Work Environment:
