Sales Professional

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain regular contact with current and potential customers to understand their needs and preferences.
- Review plans and specifications to ensure accurate pricing and project submittals.
- Track and document market data to stay ahead of the competition.
- Entertain customers, resolve complaints, and assist in collections.
- Develop a good working relationship with fellow team members and establish a sales process with central dispatch.
- Participate in trade and community associations to build relationships and stay informed.
- Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed.
Requirements:
- High School or GED plus higher trade or technical school or equivalent in a related field.
- 2 years of sales experience, preferably in construction materials.
- Knowledge of the local market area for construction materials.
- Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card, and acceptable driving record.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to establish rapport with a wide variety of personality types and accept rejection.
- Self-starter with the ability to organize and manage time effectively and handle difficult situations.
- Ability to work safely in a busy construction environment.
- Willingness to work odd hours and Saturdays if necessary.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam, and drug screen.
