Responsibilities

Patient Care:

  • Assess and manage a variety of medical conditions.
  • Formulate and execute comprehensive treatment strategies.
  • Conduct detailed medical assessments and histories.

Communication:

  • Engage effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Deliver clear and concise medical information.
  • Promote a collaborative, patient-focused healthcare approach.

Documentation:

  • Keep precise and current patient records.
  • Record medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
  • Ensure adherence to coding and billing standards.

Diagnostic Procedures:

  • Order and interpret necessary diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging.
  • Perform required medical procedures.
  • Work alongside specialists for further diagnostic assessments.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with nursing staff, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
  • Provide consultative services to fellow healthcare providers.

Quality Improvement:

  • Take part in quality assurance and enhancement initiatives.
  • Review and evaluate clinical outcomes for ongoing improvement.
  • Implement changes aimed at improving patient care and safety.

Compliance:

  • Maintain ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
  • Stay updated on healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to established standards.

Continuous Learning:

  • Keep informed about medical advancements and best practices.
  • Engage in ongoing medical education and training.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a valid and unrestricted medical license in California
  • Board eligible or board certified in the relevant medical specialty (ABMS or AOA)
  • Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program
Compensation
$183.84 per hour
