Responsibilities
Patient Care:
- Assess and manage a variety of medical conditions.
- Formulate and execute detailed treatment strategies.
- Conduct comprehensive medical assessments and histories.
Communication:
- Engage effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Deliver clear and precise medical information.
- Encourage a collaborative, patient-focused healthcare environment.
Documentation:
- Maintain precise and current patient records.
- Record medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Ensure adherence to coding and billing standards.
Diagnostic Procedures:
- Order and interpret diagnostic evaluations, including laboratory tests and imaging.
- Perform necessary medical procedures.
- Work alongside specialists for further diagnostic assessments.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with nursing staff, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
- Provide consultative services to fellow healthcare providers.
Quality Improvement:
- Participate in initiatives aimed at quality assurance and enhancement.
- Review and evaluate clinical outcomes for ongoing improvement.
- Implement strategies to elevate patient care and safety.
Compliance:
- Uphold ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
- Stay updated on healthcare regulations and compliance mandates.
- Engage in quality audits to ensure compliance with established standards.
Continuous Learning:
- Keep informed about advancements in medical science and best practices.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
- Contribute to the formulation of clinical protocols and guidelines.
- Possession of a valid and unrestricted medical license in California
- Board eligible or board certified in the relevant medical specialty (ABMS or AOA)
- Completion of an accredited residency training program
