As one of the rapidly growing firms in our sector, we are looking to recruit a Lead Water Resources Engineer who shares our dedication to exceptional client service and high-quality outcomes. This position is a hybrid role based out of our office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide multi-disciplinary teams to effectively deliver water infrastructure planning, design, and/or program management for medium- to large-scale water, recycled water, and/or wastewater systems.
  • Manage client service and enhance existing client relationships through outstanding project execution, development of new client connections, and identification of future business prospects.
  • Oversee project pursuits, including proposal creation and interview preparation.
  • Facilitate project workshops, concept development, evaluation, and decision-making processes.
  • Mentor junior professionals.
  • Produce high-quality written deliverables, including master plans, technical memoranda, reports, drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • This role may require occasional travel.
Qualifications
  • Strong alignment with our people-first values.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • P.E. registration in California or the ability to obtain it through reciprocity within six months of hire.
  • Proven experience in delivering successful and collaborative project outcomes that meet client objectives, including cost-effective, sustainable, energy-efficient, and innovative solutions.
  • 7+ years of experience in the planning, design, and/or construction of water, wastewater, and/or recycled water facilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and define project goals and requirements.
  • A team-oriented mindset, enjoying collaboration, learning, teaching, and fostering a positive team environment.
  • Active involvement in relevant professional associations and awareness of current industry trends.
  • A desire to work with autonomy and accountability, embracing innovative ideas to tackle project challenges.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in preparing documents such as proposals, presentations, technical memoranda, reports, drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Experience in developing sustainable solutions and alternative project delivery methods is a plus.
  • Ability to act as a dedicated and effective client service partner, demonstrating responsiveness, clear communication, quality delivery, attentive listening, and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for mentoring and advocating within the team.
