Water Resources Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Resources Engineer to join our team at D-Max Engineering Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including hydrology and hydraulics modeling, stormwater best management practice design, and preparing plan check comments for local municipalities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement hydrology and hydraulics models to analyze and predict water flow and quality
- Design and implement stormwater best management practices to mitigate the impacts of urbanization on water resources
- Prepare and submit plan check comments to local municipalities on Storm Water Quality Management Plans (SWQMP) and drainage studies
- Evaluate the applicability of FEMA floodplain management requirements and prepare submittals as necessary
- Conduct data analysis, map preparation, and design drawing preparation using programs such as AutoCAD and ArcGIS
- Develop and implement construction stormwater management plans, including preparing SWPPPs and overseeing inspection programs
- Collaborate with municipal agencies to identify flood control and stormwater quality requirements, develop effective approaches to meet these requirements, and prepare associated technical reports
Requirements:
- At least 4 years of experience in water resources engineering, stormwater management, or a related field
- Recent hydrology/hydraulics, stormwater, or environmental consulting experience is a plus
- California civil engineering license (PE) or the ability to obtain one within 12 months
- Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or a related field
- Advanced degrees and additional professional certifications are a plus
